Questions we get asked

You arrive at the boat between 8am and 9am, and a two-tank day usually ends back on the dock between 3pm and 4pm. Average trip length is about six hours, so plan it as a full day rather than a morning.

We prefer groups of no more than eight divers with two divemasters. That ratio is the whole reason the diving feels the way it does, so we protect it rather than filling seats.

Our dives are not limited by time. They are only limited by your own air consumption. If you breathe well you stay down longer, and nobody is called up because a schedule says so.

For our dive trips, yes. We will always request certification cards and a completed release form. If you are not certified yet, start with the PADI Open Water Diver course and you can be diving the reef within a few days.

It is, and it is a proper one. Between dives we put out purified water, fresh fruit, guacamole, chips, tuna salad, turkey, ham, fresh bread, crackers, cheese and salsa, with cookies for dessert. The surface interval is ninety minutes, so there is time to eat and rest.

A 38 foot Bertram with twin engines and propellers, a large sundeck, a bathroom on board, and plenty of space to sit or lounge on the way out and back. We run at ten to twelve knots on purpose, because high speeds are hard on the creatures that live here.

Yes. A two-tank dive is 100 dollars with your own gear, or 115 dollars with full equipment rental. Tanks, weights and belt are always included either way.

You pay a 25 percent deposit when you book, which holds your place on that departure. The balance is paid on the day, in cash or by card at the dock. Your confirmation shows both amounts clearly so there are no surprises.

Yes, and most people do. The deposit is the only thing due at booking. You settle the remaining balance when you arrive at the boat, and we send you the exact figure with your confirmation.

If we cancel for weather or sea conditions, you choose between a full refund of your deposit and moving to another date. We would rather lose the booking than take you out in conditions that make the diving unpleasant or unsafe.

There is. Ask us for a multiple dive discount when you get in touch and we will work it out with you rather than making you hunt for a code.

Not at all, and it is the reason we ask about your experience before you get on the boat. We will not choose dive sites that are inappropriate for the experience of our divers, and we have spent forty years taking people from the basic mechanics through to the finesse of the sport.
