The course that stops being about you and starts being about everyone else on the boat.
Self rescue, spotting and managing problems in other divers, and emergency management, taught by instructors who have handled real incidents on this reef.
Most divers describe this as the hardest and the most useful course they have taken. It is demanding on purpose, because the whole point is to become the person who notices something is wrong before it turns serious.
You will need current first aid and CPR training. If you do not have it, tell us when you book and we will arrange it before the course starts.
Day 1
Knowledge development, then the skills that start with looking after yourself before you can be useful to anybody else.
Day 2
Tired diver tows, panicked diver approaches, search patterns, and getting an unresponsive diver out of the water and onto a boat, which is harder than it reads.
Day 3
Two full emergency scenarios run start to finish, where nothing goes the way you rehearsed it. This is the part everybody remembers.
Cancel up to 7 days before the course starts and your deposit is refunded in full. Inside 7 days the deposit is kept, although we will always try to move your start date first. If we cancel, you choose between a full refund and a new date.
